Indonesia to replace one fifth of coal fleet with renewable energy

According to Carbon Tracker analysis, Indonesia has 15 coal-fired plants (6.4 GW) aged 20 years and older.

The decision to retire inefficient units and replace that capacity with increasingly lower cost renewable energy is an eminently sensible plan.
